LibraCyber ESG includes a backup utility that allows the saving of all system parameters and all registered data to restart with a clean application in case of disaster recovery. From this page, you can manage the ESG local or FTP backup creation or restore. You can also upload a history migration file from an ESG 4.9 installation.
Local Backup
From this section you can create or upload and restore a local backup file.
If you have never created a backup you can click on the "Create your first one" button. A new dialog will appear asking you the following information:
- Name
- Configuration (choose if you want to backup all the appliance configurations)
- Reputation history (choose if you want to backup the machine learning data and the ATE data)
- Message history (choose if you want to backup the appliance message history)
When the backup will be completed you will find it as shown in the image below. If you want to create a new backup, you can click on the "Add" button at the top left corner of the Local Backup table. For each backup are displayed some useful information such as the backup name, what the backup contains (configuration, reputation, messages and quarantine), the creation moment, the appliance version and the backup size. For each backup you can perform 3 actions:
- Restore it (the yellow arrow clock icon)
- Download it (the green download icon)
- Delete it (the red trash bin icon)
If you previously created a backup and downloaded it to your PC, you can choose to upload it by clicking on the "Choose file" button. When the upload process will be completed, the backup will be shown in the Local Backup section table and you will be able to perform the restore, download or delete actions.
FTP Backup
LibraCyber ESG supports backup also to an external FTP share. FTP backups are scheduled. If you have never scheduled an FTP backup you can click on the "Create your first one" button. A new dialog will appear asking you the backup name, what you want to backup and the following additional information:
- Server and port (the FTP server address and port to connect to)
- SSL (choose to perform an encrypted FTP connection over SSL or not)
- Passive (enable the FTP passive mode)
- Credentials (the credentials ESG will use to log into the FTP server)
- Path (the path where ESG will put the backup file on the FTP server)
- Schedule settings (how often ESG will perform the FTP backup and the hour/minute when the backup must be scheduled)
S3-like Backup
LibraCyber ESG supports backup also to an external S3-like bucket. If you have never scheduled one you can click on the "Create your first one" button. A new dialog will appear asking you the backup name, what you want to backup and the following additional information:
