LibraCyber Email Archiver signs each email archive using RFC 3161 (currently the only available authority is the Archiver itself). In this way the Archiver can check if the data was altered after being archived. In each archive you'll find:
- All the EMLs numbered for 1 to N (with eml as extension)
- A signature.json file with a JSON encoded array of all the files and their specific hash inside the archive
- A signature file that signs the signature.json using RFC 3161
The Archiver automatically checks the signature when browsing through the archived emails, if you want to manually check the signature you can download the public certificate of the Archiver authority.
From this page you can download the certificates or view the raw info. For more information about certified timestamping of archived email with RFC3161 you can visit this knowledge base.
