General Requirements
- Minimum 50GB free disk space on the datacenter
- Minimum 4GB of free memory to allocate to LibraCyber ESG
- Basic knowledge of email protocols and functionality
- LibraCyber ESG VM image (available at Downloads)
- A valid LibraCyber ESG License (free 30 days evaluation license available at Trial Request)
- Firewall access to create rules needed by LibraCyber ESG (see Firewall Requirements)
Supported Hypervisors
- VMware ® ESXi 6.0 or higher
- Microsoft ® Hyper-V Server 2016+
- Proxmox VE 7.4 (KVM) or higher
- Citrix XenServer 8.1 or higher
Performance Considerations
The LibraCyber ESG is extremely I/O intensive and has unique performance requirements compared to other common virtual servers such as DNS servers, databases, or mail servers. Even when idle (not filtering email messages), the ESG memory usage will remain high and CPU usage can spike above 90% at times. This is normal behavior.
Note: all hardware suggestions in the next section assume that your hypervisor relies on an up to date enterprise hardware (4th Generation Intel® Xeon® Scalable Processors).
We require disks with a speed of at least 200 MB/s. You can test your disk speed by yourself using the disk tool provided once logged into appliance console (via hypervisor or SSH).
Note: These configurations are generic recommendations only. It's your own responsibility to assign the correct resources to your specific use case. For further information contact LibraCyber Support. They don't apply to LibraCyber Cloud Services instances.
