Disabling Microsoft 365 spam checks is not mandatory. We recommend disabling spam checks on emails delivered by LibraCyber ESG to avoid false positives.
To completely disable all spam checks performed by Microsoft you need to create a Spam confidence level rule and a Connection filter policy rule.
Spam confidence level
Login to the Microsoft 365 Exchange Portal with an admin account. Move to the Mail flow > Rules section.
Now click on the Add a rule button.
A rule wizard appears. You have to set the rule as follows. In the Apply this rule if section, select The sender -> IP address is in any of these ranges or exactly matches. In the dialog that appears, input the appliance IP address. In the Do the following section, select Modify the message properties -> Set the spam confidence level (SCL). In the dialog that appears, select Bypass spam filtering. Click on the Next button.
In the next page, you can leave everything as is.
Review the rule and confirm its creation.
Connection filter policy
Login to the Policies & rules section of the Microsoft 365 web portal. Click on the Connection filter policy (Default) entry in the table
Click the Edit connection filter policy link at the bottom of the dialog that appears.
Add your ESG IP address into the Always allow messages from the following IP addresses or address range section.
