- PST containing journaling emails
- Multipart ZIP folders
The import configuration process is divided into three steps: choose file, configure import and import archive.
Choose file
In the first step you have to upload the file to import and to choose the execution disk, which is a local disk attached to the Archiver and used only during the import process for operation like the archive decompression.
Before proceeding to the next step, the Archiver checks that there the execution disk has enough available space to proceed to import the chooses file.
The required space is 3 times the dimension of the archive to be imported.
Please note this space is freed up by the Archiver when the import completes.
Configure import
The second step is about the import configuration.
A tenant to which associate all the emails must be chosen, along with an optional job name and optional emails owner. If the emails owner is not specified, the LibraCyber Email Archiver will associate each email to all the users involved in the message.
If the archive you are about to import does contain information about the folder structure, you can check the "Preserve email folder structure" flag in order to import on the Archiver also the folder structure information.
A pair of advanced options are also available:
- "Barracuda Archive" to import archives coming from an export of Barracuda Email Archiver
- "Journaling Emails" to import emails that are encapsulated in a message envelope using protocol RFC 2822
- "Replace already imported emails" checks if an emails has already been imported and, in case, deletes the old email and replaces it with the new one. When this option is not active, the Archiver skips the already imported emails.
- "Check exact email size" requires that, in addiction to all default checks, the sizes of two emails must be exactly the same in order to consider the two emails equivalent.
Import archive
In the third step, you can simply monitor the upload of the archive to be imported.
At the end of the upload phase, a new import job will appear in the jobs list.
