- Firewall access to create rules needed by LibraCyber Archiver (see Firewall Requirements)
RAM requirements
The RAM requirements for the Archiver depend on the size of the indexing engine, which is determined by the type and number of archived emails.
If you already have a running Archiver, use the current indexing engine size to calculate the necessary RAM. For new deployments, estimate RAM based on the total number of emails or the estimated archive size (considering also archives compression).
Enabling the attachment indexing feature will require additional RAM, depending on how many emails include attachments.
Keep in mind that these estimates may vary based on the average email size and compression ratio.
| RAM | Indexing engine size | Archived emails | Archive size |
| 4 GB | 0 - 20 GB | 0 - 10 million | 0 - 500 GB |
| 6 GB | 20 - 50 GB | 10 - 15 million | 0,5 - 1 TB |
| 10 GB | 50 - 80 GB | 15 - 25 million | 1 - 3 TB |
| 15 GB | 80 - 140 GB | 25 - 50 million | 3 - 8 TB |
| 20 GB | 140 - 200 GB | 50 - 70 million | 8 - 15 TB |
| 30 GB | 200 - 300 GB | 70 - 100 million | 15 - 30 TB |
| 50 GB | 300 - 500 GB | 100 - 200 million | 30 - 60 TB |
| 200 GB | 500 - 1000 GB | 200 - 500 million | 60 - 100 TB |
| 500 GB | 1 - 3 TB | 0,5 - 1 billion | 100 - 150 TB |
CPU requirements
CPU requirements mainly depend on the volume of email to be daily archived.
| Emails per day | vCPU |
| 200k | 2 |
| 500k | 4 |
| 1 million | 8 |
| 2 million | 16 |
| 4 million | 32 |
| 8 million | 64 |
| 16 million | 128 |
Disk speed requirements
Storage devices must provide a minimum sustained write throughput of 200 MB/s. Configurations below this threshold will result in significant performance degradation, particularly for database workloads, and will lead to reduced responsiveness and increased latency. Lower-performance storage is therefore not suitable for production environments.
Networking requirements (inbound)
- For SMTP journaling port 25 (SMTP with STARTTLS) or port 465 (SMTPS) must be reachable from the mail server.
- For web access, for the Outlook plugin and for the mobile apps port 443 (HTTPS) must be reachable from the Internet
- For automatic TLS certificate management with Letsencrypt port 80 (HTTP) and 443 (HTTPS) must be reachable from the Internet
Networking requirements (outbound)
- Email notifications: port 25 TCP outbound (you can configure SMTP here)
- System updates: ports 80 and 443 TCP outbound (repo.libraesva.com, repo1.libraesva.com, repo2.libraesva.com, it1-repo.libraesva.com, nl1-repo.libraesva.com, sg1-repo.libraesva.com, us1-repo.libraesva.com, archiver-repo1.libraesva.com, update1.libraesva.com, update2.libraesva.com)
- DNS: port 53 TCP and UDP oubound (network configuration here)
- NTP: port 123 UDP outbound (pool.ntp.org)
- Remote support: rmt.libraesva.com (more details here)

LibraCyber Cloud Service Limitations for each LibraCyber EA Instance
A single LibraCyber EA instance is capped to any of the following limits:
- QoS is guaranteed up to an average storage per mailbox of 50GB (uncompressed size)
- Maximum archive storage size is 65TB
- The maximum number of simultaneous imports/exports is 3
- Up to 12 total mailboxes can be synchronised simultaneously through connectors
- Up to 4 PEC mailboxes can be synchronised simultaneously through connectors
- Up to 250k messages can be archived per day
LibraCyber technical support is available for clarifications and suggestions on how to handle your workload.
PST and other archives type import
LibraCyber suggests supplying PST files between 5 and 10 GB. We will accept and process PSTs up to 50 GB, but files larger than 10 GB will take longer to process.
