How to expand local disks The archiver appliance has 3 local disks:
- The first one is the system disk (48gb): used for system configurations
- The second is the data disk (32gb): used for temporary import files and local storage
- The third is the engine disk (64gb): used for engine data storage
From the console menu you can expand the second disk, to expand the first one or the last one you need to contact the support at support@libraesva.com. To expand the data disk follow these steps:
- Go to your hypervisor and select the Archiver VM
- Expand the second disk (by default it has 32gb) to the desired size. Note before expanding it over 2TB contact us at support@libraesva.com.
- Open the archiver virtual console from your hypervisor management page.
- Login as archiver user (the default password for the archiver user is archiver).
- Select option 8) Expand disk
- Choose the disk you want to expand. Note the shown size is the actual partition size, not the physical disk size (shown on your hypervisor)
- Confirm the operation
- Wait for the disk expansion and check the new disk size
