This article addresses configuring Gmail servers with LibraCyber ESG as your inbound and/or outbound mail gateway.
As an administrator, you can set up Gmail servers to handle messages your domain receives from inbound mail gateways. Setting up an inbound gateway helps Gmail identify the correct source IP address to use for SPF authentication.
You can specify the appliance as an inbound mail gateway through which all incoming mail for your domain passes before reaching your Gmail server. LibraCyber ESG filters out spam and viruses and then passes the mail on to your Gmail server.
Likewise, you can specify LibraCyber ESG as the outbound mail gateway through which all mail is sent from your domain via your Gmail server to the recipient.
LibraCyber ESG processes the mail as the outbound gateway by filtering out spam and viruses and applying outbound policies (blocking, encrypting, etc.) before final delivery. By using the configuration described in Outbound Configuration below, you instruct your Gmail server to pass all outgoing mail from your domain to the appliance.
