DMARC configuration
DMARC is a standard to prevent unauthorized spoofing of the header From, if you correctly configure DMARC it will be harder for third parties to spoof your organization.
Even if you don’t need or want to use DMARC, we highly advise you to add the following txt record to your DNS:
_dmarc v=DMARC1; p=none;
This does not affect your email flow regarding third parties but LibraCyber ESG will use this information to make stricter checks on incoming emails.
Starting from version 4.6 LibraCyber ESG applies the policy “quarantine” if a DMARC record is published for a domain hosted on LibraCyber ESG. This provides stronger protection against spoofing.
In case of DMARC fail and policy none or reject the system will continue applying quarantine action.
Please refer to the documentation of the DMARC framework for further details.
