When you start the Email Archiver for the first time, you will be welcomed by the wizard.
Click start to begin the installation.
In order to be able to continue the installation you have to accept the EULA.
Enabling error logging authorizes your appliance to send to LibraCyber problem reports. When the appliance encounters a problem it will send diagnostic information to our laboratories.
This enable us to proactively and promptly support you even before you contact our support service.
Configuration wizard
After each step you will have to press Apply to save the current settings and Next to continue to the next step.
Date and time
This page configures your local timezone, the date and the current time.
If you enable NTP the configuration will be automatic. NTP requires internet access through the Network Time Protocol (UDP port 123).
Network
You have to provide a static ip address to the appliance. In this moment the appliance is still using an ip address provided via DHCP but as soon as you save, the network configuration will become static.
SMTP configuration
The archiver needs a SMTP server for sending notifications, OTP codes (for advanced privacy management) or forwarding archived emails to the users.
You can also skip this step and configure it later through the Settings > General > SMTP configuration page
License
You can either cut and paste your license in the text box or upload the license file.
At this point the basic appliance configuration is completed. Network, time and licensing are configured and this is a process that must be done only once even on multi-tenanted installations.
At the end of this process you will land on the dashboard and a notification will prompt you to perform the tenant wizard which will allow you to configure the actual email ingestion and archiving. For multi-tenant installations the tenant wizard can be repeated multiple times.
