The DMARC sections display your hosted record status, the related domain, policy, subdomain policy, DKIM align, SPF align percentage and action buttons.
You can add a new DMARC record for a domain by clicking the Add button at the top right corner.
Select a domain by clicking the dropdown menu
You can also choose to import values from your published record or not by clicking “Discover existing values from the published record”
Click Next and set your domain policy
Click Next and set your Alignment
Click Next and you can specify a different policy for subdomains in respect of the policy of the main domain. If no policy is specified for the subdomain, the main domain policy will be applied to the subdomain (Not set option)
Click Next to set your percentage (note relevant if none policy is selected)
Click Next to summarize
Click Show Record and follow the instructions to host your record in LetsDMARC. You can otherwise get the raw record if you want to self-host it.
Action button:
The action section allows you to
- add additional recipient addresses for RUA/RUF reports
- edit record
- activate/deactivate record hosting
- delete record
Address button: The address button allows you to add additional addresses (different from LetsDMARC one) to where receivers will send your DMARC reports to.
After clicking the action button, it will take you to the DMARC additional report addresses section where you will add an email address to which receivers will send your DMARC reports. Click the add button at the top right corner to add the address.
Edit Button: The Edit button allows you to set options to your DMARC records and edit your domain policy.
Verify/Activate button: The verify/activate button shows you the instruction to manage the hosting status for your DMARC record on the LetsDMARC platform.
Hosted record activation requires two steps:
- Verify domain ownership, publishing a TXT record on your domain DNS with a unique value
- Activate hosted record by publishing NS records on your domain DNS to delegate the “_dmarc” record to LetsDMARC service
- Optionally, is possible to get the raw DMARC record if you do not wish to host your DMARC record in the LetsDMARC platform and self-host it in your DNS by publishing yourself
Pause Button: The pause button gives you instructions to deactivate hosted DMARC record
Delete Button: The delete button deletes your domain from LetsDMARC (available only if the record status is not active)
After clicking the delete button, you get a prompt warning you that deleting your record will also delete all related data permanently, if you wish to continue, click confirm and your domain will be deleted
