Cyber Series is the episodic training flow: a TV-series-style cybersecurity series that employees follow season by season, watching episodes through to the end without quizzes. It's the lighter counterpart to Cyber Awareness modules, which instead conclude with a quiz. The administrator assigns it and tracks progress from the Video Training menu; employees watch it on the My Courses page.
How it works
Cyber Series is a series of seasons made up of episodes to watch through to the end. An episode is completed when the employee watches it all the way through and assigns one star: there is no quiz or score. This is the main difference from Cyber Awareness, whose modules are completed only after passing the quiz and award up to two stars. Since there are no quizzes, Cyber Series never shows a "Failed" status: only "in progress" or Completed.
What it's for
- Offer employees a light, view-only awareness option: a cybersecurity series to follow like a show, without the pressure of a quiz.
- Keep the program alive between more demanding Cyber Awareness modules by releasing episodes on a recurring schedule so there's always something new to watch.
- Distribute the series across the entire company or specific departments through a Cyber Series-type Learning Path.
It's not meant to assess knowledge (that's what Cyber Awareness modules with quizzes are for) or to upload your own episodes: the catalog is provided with the product. A path is assigned to the company or departments, never to individual employees.
Before you start
- Cyber Series content is included in the company plan: it's a separate activation from Cyber Awareness and the series appears only if the company has purchased it.
- You need administrator permission for Video Training to assign and monitor, and user permission to watch.
- At least one Cyber Series episode has been released in the Release Calendar, so the series actually reaches employees.
- Employees and departments are already in the company directory, so you can assign the series by department.
Assign and track the series
From the administrator's perspective, delivery follows a few steps:
- In Video Training › Learning Paths, find a path with the Type chip set to Cyber Series.
- Open the path settings, assign it to Whole Company or Specific Departments, then save your changes.
- In Setup › Release Calendar, schedule when Cyber Series episodes are released to employees (scheduling is separate for each content type).
- Track adoption on the Dashboard, in its Cyber Series section.
Assignment doesn't publish all episodes at once: they are released over time according to the Release Calendar, so Dashboard data grows gradually.
Where it appears
- For the employee: the Cyber Series card on the My Courses page filters the library to show episodes.
- For the administrator: on the Dashboard, with the Completion – Cyber Series summary card, a progress chart over time, and a performance table by content.
Settings
For viewers, Cyber Series is a view-only interface and has no settings of its own. What determines its behavior is managed elsewhere: which episodes appear and when depends on the Release Calendar; who receives the series depends on the Target of the Cyber Series Learning Path; the card filter on My Courses (All / Cyber Awareness / Cyber Series) is managed by the My Courses page.
Data and privacy
Cyber Series records, for each episode, the viewing progress, viewing time, and completion for each employee; it does not record any score (since there are no quizzes) and does not collect user files or messages. Training data export happens from the Dashboard, not from this page.
Troubleshooting
| Symptom | Likely cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| The Cyber Series card is empty or missing for employees | The company doesn't have Cyber Series activation, or no episodes have been released yet | Verify activation and that a Cyber Series release is scheduled in the Release Calendar |
| An episode watched all the way through still shows "in progress" with no star | The player didn't record the episode as finished | Reopen the episode and watch it through to the end |
| The Cyber Series section of the Dashboard shows no data | No episodes released, or no employees have started one yet | Release at least one episode and give employees time to watch it |
| An episode won't start | Temporary browser or player issue, or the release date hasn't passed yet | Reload the page and verify that the release date has already passed |
