The safelists of Smart Banners allow you to indicate, at the company level, senders and domains considered trustworthy: emails from a sender or domain in the safelist do not display any Smart Banners banner. This guide explains how to manage your company's safelists from the Preferences tab, accessible via Smart Banners › Setup › Preferences.
NOTE: the safelist is used solely to remove the banner from emails of trusted senders; it does not block or flag dangerous senders. Each entry applies to the entire company and remains valid until an administrator removes it.
Prerequisites
- Smart Banners active for the company. If Smart Banners is not active, the entire area (Dashboard, Setup, Users) displays a "Coming soon" screen instead of the tabs.
- Administrator role: the entire Smart Banners Setup area is reserved for administrators.
- Google Workspace (Gmail) or Microsoft 365 mailboxes already connected to Smart Banners: a safelist entry takes effect only when mail actually transits through Smart Banners.
Detailed Procedure
Open Smart Banners › Setup and select the Preferences tab. The tab presents two sub-tabs: Safe domains and Safe senders.
Add a safe domain or sender
- Open Smart Banners › Setup › Preferences.
- Select the Safe domains or Safe senders sub-tab, depending on what you want to add.
- Click Add safe domains (or Add safe senders).
- Enter a domain — or a complete email address — on each line in the text box.
- Click Confirm. If a line is not a valid domain or email address, nothing is saved and an error message appears: correct each line and try again (partial saving is not supported).
Remove an entry
- In the table, click the trash icon next to the row you want to delete.
- Confirm in the Delete item window. Entries are deleted one at a time.
Search for an entry in the safelist
- Use the Search box to filter the table: the search acts only on the active sub-tab (Safe domains or Safe senders), not on both simultaneously.
- Use the Sort control to change the table's sort order.
Review and promote senders marked as safe by users
Safelist entries can have two origins:
- Added by the administrator — entries manually inserted from the Preferences tab, as described above. They apply to the entire company and remain until an administrator removes them.
- Senders marked as safe by users — each employee can mark a sender as safe directly from the banner in their mailbox. This action alone does not modify the company safelist: the administrator sees it in aggregate form in the Senders marked as safe by users tab and can decide whether to promote it to the company safelist.
To promote a sender marked by users:
- Open the Senders marked as safe by users tab. Each row shows a sender's address and how many users have marked it as safe.
- Select one or more rows and use Add to company safe list (or the action on the individual row) to add that sender — as an address or as an entire domain — to the same company safelist managed in the Preferences tab.
The entry now appears in the safelist table. Subsequent emails from that sender or domain will no longer display the Smart Banners banner.
Troubleshooting
| Symptom | Probable Cause | Solution | Escalation |
| A sender added to the safelist still displays the banner. | The sender is delivered through an email sending service (for example Mailgun, Sendgrid or Mailchimp) and the visible address may differ from the one contained in the message headers. | Add to the safelist all variants of the address, not just the one visible in the sender field. | Contact support |
| The Confirm button does not save or displays an error. | One or more rows entered are not valid domains or email addresses. | Correct each row (one element per row) and try again: partial saving is not supported. | — |
| The entire Setup section displays "Coming soon" instead of tabs. | Smart Banners is not active for the company. | Contact LibraCyber to activate Smart Banners. | — |
