What is BIMI?
Brand Indicators for Message Identification (BIMI) is an email specification that allows companies to display their verified brand logo next to messages in supporting email clients. It builds on DMARC, SPF, and DKIM authentication, strengthening security against phishing and boosting email engagement.
LetsDMARC can help you generate the BIMI record given your logo URL and the certificate (both purchasable from third parties).
Go in the Domains page, click next to each domain there's the BIMI option
Next, you will be presented with the BIMI record wizard:
- Domain = select the domain (previously configured)
- Logo Location URL = enter the hosted logo URL
- Authority Evidence Location URL = enter the certificate URL (purchasable from third-parties)
Once filled out, click on Check. LetsDMARC will perform check according to the RFC guidance and make sure your BIMI record is correctly configured
If every check is resulting in the Valid status, the record can be copied and published on the DNS. Below, an example of BIMI checks and confirmation
