LetsDMARC Teams Alerts Feature
Requirements
- You have access to Microsoft Teams
- You are a member or owner of the Team where the channel will be created
- You have permission to create channels in that Team
Create a Channel in Microsoft Teams
Microsoft provides also an official guide explaining how to create standard, private, or shared channels in Teams: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/teams/teams-channels/create-a-standard-private-or-shared-channel-in-microsoft-teams
- Open Microsoft Teams.
- Go to the Teams area.
- Select the Team where the new channel needs to be created.
- Click the More options menu, usually shown as three dots (...), next to the Team name.
- Select Add channel or Manage team > Channels > Add channel
- Enter the channel name.

Optionally, add a channel description.
Example: Channel used to receive LetsDMARC security and system alerts via webhook.
- Choose the channel type:
- Standard: visible to all members of the Team.
- Private: visible only to selected members.
- Shared: used to collaborate with people inside or outside the organization.
- Click Create.
- Confirm that the channel is visible in the selected Team.
Create a Workflow to Receive Webhook Alerts
- Go to the channel where alerts should be posted
- Click the More options menu, usually shown as three dots (...)
- Click on the Open the Workflows app.
- Search for "Send webhook alerts to a channel"
- Select the webhook workflow and choose the previously created Team and destination Channel
- Save the workflow.
- After saving, Teams will generate a webhook URL.
- Copy the webhook URL and store it securely.
Add webhook URL to LetsDMARC recipient
Go in the Alert section, select the recipient you want to add the webhook URL to and enter the webhook link.
